Christmas Time!

If you know me at all, you know I LOVE Christmas! I love the feeling Christmas brings and the togetherness of the season as we remember our Savior and celebrate his miraculous birth. This past Christmas (2014) was especially fun because it was just us this year. We weren't able to afford to go back to Pocatello so we stayed put in Louisville and it was actually really fun to just be together and not have to go anywhere on Christmas morning. It was so nice too because Trevor had the whole month of December off from school, making it a stress-free, family filled month!

Averie's sweet letter to Santa. "Dear Santa, How are you? I have been a good girl. I want a Leap Pad for Christmas. Thank you, love Averie Bybee"

We had a blast going to Bass Pro Shops to see Santa. He was a great Santa and Bass Pro Shops knows how to Christmas! They had such fun decorations and even a merry-go-round. Afterwards we took the kids out to eat.

Trevor and I on a DATE! Doesn't happen very often, so it must be documented!

We got tickets to "Christmas at the Galt House" and it was so fun! It is a big fancy hotel in downtown Louisville and they put on lots of Christmas activities for the kids. They also had a kaleidoscope presentation of The Christmas Carol that was fun to walk through!

We went and visited our good friends the Stuckis who live in Lexington and it was so nice to see friends from back home! Trevor and Andy have been close friends since they were kids. Andy is going to dental school at University of Kentucky.

We made gingerbread cookies for Santa and he left a note in return. The kids loved decorating the cookies

Every Christmas Eve we drive around and look at Christmas lights. This year we invited the Sister Missionaries to join us. We found some fun houses!

Averie went to sleep FAST because she didn't want Santa to miss our house!

Averie picked out a present for Daddy and she LOVED watching his reaction when he opened it. She is such a sweet, giving little girl!
